
Red Bull releases a new documentary exploring the behind-the-scenes moments capturing Teyana Taylor’s creative processes.
The 60-minute documentary follows Teyana Taylor as she builds the stage for the House of Petunia, taking place at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. Taylor’s intimate performance served as part of Red Bull Music Festival New York and through the film, viewers get an inside look on how Taylor plus a team of creatives, producers, choreographers and more developed the entire show.
“The House of Petunia will be my most ambitious show to date. I’m extremely nervous because the show means a lot to me,” says Teyana Taylor in a provided statement.
Assembly Required: Teyana Taylor’s House of Petunia captures the hard-work behind the aesthetically pleasing show. Taylor performed tracks from her latest album KTSE and was joined on-stage by her husband Iman Shumpert, rapper Fabolous, and Method Man.
During Assembly Required: Teyana Taylor’s House of Petunia, Nikki Taylor, her mom and manager, Shumpert, Coco Gilbert, the lead choreographer and Carrington, the band director all work together to bring Teyana’s vision to life.
The documentary release marks the premiere of Red Bull’s new Assembly Required series. According to Red Bull, the series pulls back the curtain on what it takes to create the ultimate live performance. The series follows visionary artists who overcome obstacles and bring their ambitions to life. For 20 years, Red Bull has celebrated music with festivals, workshops, and initiatives empowering artists and music communities around the world.
