Baltimore Ravens’ running-back Danny Woodhead has been placed on IR after injuring his hamstring Sunday against the Bengals.
While this is a blow for the Ravens, who initially expected Woodhead back in 4-6 weeks, there have been reports that surgery would no be required.
The #Ravens expect Danny Woodhead back and at full-strength after 8 weeks. No surgery necessary.

Woodhead had been battling a hamstring injury throughout camp and re-injured it in the first half of Sundays game. He left the game after just three receptions for 33 yards, he will leave the Ravens without his ever important pass-catching ability out of the backfield. The Ravens do expect him back this season hopefully at full strength within the 8 weeks required on IR.
In Woodhead stead Jeremy Langford has been promoted from the practice squad. It is intriguing how they will use him in the offense with backs Terrance West and Javorius Allen preparing to lead the way Sunday against the Browns.
