If the above clip is too hard for you to watch, I understand. It comes from a game in 2009, the days before Twitter ruled our worlds and 1080P or 4K videos were a thing that could happen in the future. It’s a clip from a game between historic rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics, which sparked a moment Rajon Rondo would never forget.
.@RajonRondo’s memory of @kobebryant? When Kobe pointed at him. "He pissed me off a little bit when he did that." pic.twitter.com/BB48SULKXP

As Kobe Bryant gets set to retire at the end of the year, this final matchup between the Lakers and Sacramento Kings had no hype behind it. Bryant would once again sit out a home game and both teams are going nowhere towards a playoff position. The interesting dynamic presented was the one between ‘friends’ and almost teammates, Kobe Bryant and Rajon Rondo.
This perfectly encapsulates the relationship between Bryant and Rondo. The two share a weird relationship and they have one thing in common, they both have admitted that they are a-holes and that’s appears to be key in Rondo’s relationship with Kobe.
Rondo and Kobe grew close. Why? Rondo: "I don’t have a lot of friends. I’m just friends with a lot of a–holes."
