The Oakland Raiders are out to spend money and build up a team littered with young stars. Derek Carr and Amari Cooper run the offense and Khalil Mack is a star in the making as a hybrid linebacker/defensive end.
They were a team that had money to spend and they sure have done it. They went out and signed the best lineman available in Kelechi Osemele, inked the top linebacker available and a super bowl champion linebacker in Bruce Irvin and now, they have signed the best cornerback available in Sean Smith to a contract.

NFL Media’s Rand Getlin reported Thursday morning the Raiders and cornerback Sean Smith agreed to terms, according to a source familiar with the player’s decision.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport added Smith joins Oakland on a four-year deal, worth $40 million, with $20 million guaranteed. That per-year figure currently places him on the fringe of the top 10 among corners.
Smith confirmed the news on his twitter account.
