On the same day that they traded for Antonio Brown, the Oakland Raiders kept busy and traded offensive lineman Kelechi Osemele to the New York Jets. In return for Osemele and a Raiders 6th-round pick, the Jets will send a 5th-round pick to Oakland. The trade will not be processed until the beginning of the new league year on Wednesday.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter went to Twitter to report on the trade.
Raiders have an agreement in principle to trade G Kelechi Osemele to the NY Jets, sources tell @josinaanderson and me. Trade cannot be processed until Weds, but two sides have agreement in place. Another Raiders’ trade.

With the trade for Osemele, the Jets are strengthening up their offensive line for second-year quarterback Sam Darnold. As for the Raiders, the trade clears up cap room for the rebuilding team and adds another pick to their lot of picks in this year’s draft.
