September 9, 2022 is a date that will come up quite a few times in the near future. On the second Friday of September, a number of established artists like Kane Brown, John Legend and Ari Lennox will release new studio albums. It will also provide a platform for rising artists like Zyah Belle and DEVN to release new projects. Adding his name to the list of artists releasing new music on September 9, 2022, Rahul is gearing up to release a new EP called Depression But Make It Cool.
Based in the City of Angels by way of Tampa, Rahul is a smooth, yet expressive multi-talented musician with a lot to get off of his chest. Throughout the summer, he’s continued to build his discography with tracks like “A.M. Peta,” “No Contact” and “London Fog.” While there isn’t much publicly available information on the emerging artist readily available, each track pulls out a new side of his personality and story. The “London Fog” video pulls out little tidbits like his troubles with smoking and “A.M. Peta” touches on his upbringing in Tampa. His latest offering, “Dirty Chai,” adds yet another layer to his profile.
“Dirty Chai” is seemingly the final preview before Depression But Make It Cool arrives in its final form in early September. Accompanied by a visual that finds Rahul in the hills, the laid-back track opens up a window into some of the relationship issues that he’s dealt with over time.
“Neither of us was a synonym but we befriended [each other] because of the sentiment. We never thought we would’ve did this sh*t, but now we’re both into it because of the internet,” he raps.
“I made it clear from the beginning I’d never belittle you once we got intimate. You’ve got a past and I resemble it.”
“Dirty Chai” sets the stage for Rahul to drop his latest EP on September 9, 2022. Check out his new video below.
