Fifty-three days stand in between the American public and Election Day. As November 8, 2022, nears, Quinnipiac University has taken a closer look at two key races in the state of Georgia.
Recent polling conducted by researchers at Quinnipiac University has identified Raphael Warnock as a slight favorite in the ongoing U.S. Senate race. Fifty-two percent of voters say they will be expressing their support for Warnock in November while 46% of Georgia residents say they’ll vote for Herschel Walker come Election Day. Additional research finds that 50% of voters have a favorable view of Warnock while only 40% say they have a favorable view of Walker.
As Warnock and Walker battle for a seat in the U.S. Senate, Brian Kemp attempts to fend off challenger Stacey Abrams in the Georgia gubernatorial race. Polling conducted by Quinnipiac University indicates that 50% of voters will vote for Kemp on Election Day while 48% have expressed their support for Abrams. With a margin for error listed at 2.7 percent, Kemp and Abrams are essentially in a dead heat for the hotly contested governor’s seat.
With less than two months until Election Day, it appears that many Georgia votes have already made up their minds. Of those who participated in recent polling efforts, 94% have already decided who they will vote for governor and 96% have decided who they will elect as governor.
