The Sacramento Kings haven’t been quiet at all this offseason. From the seemingly endless drama surrounding head coach George Karl and star center DeMarcus Cousins to the signing of Rajon Rondo, the Kings have been in the headlines all summer long.
The Kings have been making all kinds of moves. Not just headline-worthy moves either. The team has managed to acquire quite a few really solid players, such as Marco Belinelli, Caron Butler, Omri Casspi, and Kosta Koufos.
The latest role player headed to Sacramento is Quincy Acy.
From Michael Scotto of the Associated Press:
Sacramento Kings and Quincy Acy agree to a 2-year, $2 million deal with a player option (Year Two), per source. RealGM had agreement first.

Quincy Acy played 56 games for the Kings during the 2013-14 season before the team traded him to the Raptors. The Kings actually had Acy on their roster once again last offseason, but they wound up trading him again, this time to the Knicks.
It’s hard to get a feel for just how good Acy is, as he’s only averaged 15.5 minutes per game over the course of his 3-year career. However, we do know that he is a high-energy player, and every team can use guys who hustle. Acy has also shown that he is a capable rebounder and defender. He’s also quite athletic(37-inch max vertical), and has solid size at 6’8″ and 224 pounds.
