Quavo and Imagine Entertainment co-founder Brian Grazer are collaborating to produce an animated kids series. The series aimed towards kids ages 8-12, is inspired by the Atlanta Hip-Hop scene. In a press release Thursday, the rapper stated, “I have long seen how hip-hop as well as our music (Migos) really impacts kids.”
“I’ve loved animation my whole life whether on TV or in movies and I wanted my first jump into this premium content world to be a show just for kids,” he said. “It will definitely reflect the creativity, love, and families in and around the NAWF side of Atlanta where we grew up.”
The partnership is between Imagine’s Marginal Mediaworks, Imagine Kids+Family, Quality Control Music, and Motown. Quavo will serve as executive producer alongside Grazer, Marginal Mediaworks CEO and founder Sanjay Sharma, and Imagine Kids+Family president Stephanie Sperbe.
In addition, Quality Control’s Pierre “Pee” Thomas and Kevin “Coach K” Lee will produce with Dan Altmann and Capitol Music Group’s Brian Nolan and Ryan Allingham.
