Former Kentucky guard Quade Green will be transferring to the Washington Huskies. Green will be enrolling for the Spring 2019 semester and will be eligible to compete in the Spring of 2020 due to NCAA rules. Washington head coach Mike Hopkins welcomes the former 5-star guard, as Washington was looking for an offensive complement for their backcourt. Green was averaging 8.0 ppg, 2.3 apg, 44.9% FG, 42.3% 3pt, 89.5% FT in 18 minutes per game this season. In Lexington, Quade Green was overshadowed by future lottery pick, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander last season and current guards Immanuel Quickley and Ashton Hagans.
Without a doubt, Green will get a chance to contribute immediately and pair with Huskies guard Jaylen Nowell who is currently averaging 16+ points per game and shooting 40%+ from 3.
Kentucky transfer Quade Green tells ESPN he has committed to Washington.

The former McDonalds All American attended Neumann-Goretti in Philadelphia, PA. Green won four consecutive Pennsylvania Class 3A state championships and picked up numerous accolades. The Jordan Brand Classic participant was ranked as the #26 overall prospect by 247 Sports.
Unquestionably, Washington is hoping the addition of Green will help recruit more 5-star talent to the program. Currently, Washington is 7-4 and a classic bubble team heading into conference play.
