G.O.O.D Music has been on a run lately. Last month, Desiigner released his newest project, The Life of Desiigner. This week, he followed up the project’s release with a visual for the project’s outro, “Hood“. Last night, Kanye West released his newest project, Ye. The seven track project came complete with features from Nicki Minaj, Kid Cudi and Charlie Wilson with production from Mike Dean and Tony Williams. With all of that being said, the star of G.O.O.D Music’s summer run has definitely been Pusha T.
Last week, the Virginia native released his latest studio album, Daytona. After listening to the album, Mosi Reeves of The Rolling Stone wrote, “Pusha-T’s third – and best – solo album is a marvel of musical precision. On this 21-minute, EP-length collaboration with producer Kanye West no moment is wasted. If this seven-song collection being marketed as an album statement seems frustratingly incomplete, it’s only because Pusha T and West leave the audience wanting more. As usual, Pusha presents himself as the all-knowing veteran dope dealer who pushes product to his consumers.” Shortly after the album’s release, Pusha T went head to head with biggest rapper of the world on “The Story of Adidon“. Last night, the G.O.O.D Music President made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
His performance of “If You Know, You Know” on the late night show came complete with a light show and a dark, desolate background that is consistent with the sound of the project. Feel free to check out the full performance below.
