German footwear company, PUMA, has been doing big things the last 7 days. They debuted and launched their latest FENTY line, inspired by creative director Rihanna–one that will surely carry the hype of previous packs. The collection introduces the “Bow Women’s Sneaker,” a model based off the Trinomic silhouette. The upper is adorned in satin and is highlighted with a large bow lacing system. Retailers have started making the line available in the last 24 hours.
Actress/Model/Streetwear God, Cara DeLevingne presented her latest “DO YOU” campaign. Images include Cara rocking the new PUMA Suede Hearts in “Aruba Blue,” another model utilizing the bow aesthetic. “It’s about finding yourself. It’s good to be inspired and look up to people but to find what really makes you happy, no matter what that is, don’t follow the crowd,” DeLevingne said of the campaign.
They landed the rapper, Big Sean, as their newest Global Ambassador and Creative Collaborator, ending his long-standing partnership with Adidas. The announcement was accompanied by possible looks that take inspiration from Sean’s hometown of Detroit. Reports suggest the first PUMA x Big Sean collection could drop as soon as Spring 2018.
Tomorrow, PUMA hopes to bring out your inner child, with the release of the Sesame Street Pack. The pack features the iterations of the Basket, Suede, and Prevail OG. Also included are two pairs of sandals that play off the popularity of the Fenty furry slide. Check out the collection below and leave us a comment on what your favorite pieces are. Look for puma.com to drop these March 10, 2017.
Sesame Street x PUMA Basket
The classic aesthetic of the Puma Basket gets two tonal colorways in black and white. The shoe’s canvas upper is covered in sketches of some of your favorite Sesame Street characters, like Burt, Ernie, Elmo, and Cookie Monster.
Sesame Street x PUMA Suede
Cookie Monster and Elmo return on a pair of Suedes, using the characters’ facial features to create an all-over print over premium suede leather.
Sesame Street x PUMA Prevail OG
The retro runner returns, in what is potentially the best model of the collection. This time, Elmo, Oscar the Grouch, and Cookie Monster show up peeking through the heel window and tongue accents of the Prevail. The rest of the upper is constructed of mesh and premium suede on the toe box, fitting perfectly into the retro look that is so popular now.
Sesame Street x PUMA Slide
For the cozy boyz out there, Puma gives us a duo of slides featuring Elmo and Cookie Monster on the strap over a monochrome sole.
