Among the countless celebrities speaking their piece is the living legend, Prince. It’s been reported that Prince has recorded a brand new record in tribute to the people of Baltimore.
The legendary artist has recorded a “tribute to all of the people of the city of Baltimore,” a spokesperson tells Billboard. Though release plans haven’t been announced, it’s understood the track will address Freddie Gray’s death in Baltimore police custody, and the socio/political issues around the nation following a spate of killings of young black men.
Never being afraid to speak his mind, surely the record will be a heartfelt piece from the legend. With controversy surrounding Freddie Gray’s death still being on the hearts of so many accross the nation, it’s without ta doubt that Prince’s tribute record will be coming much sooner than later.
