Move out the way Cardi and Taylor, there’s a new contender coming through.
Earlier last week, it was announced that Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow” and Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” have been head to head. Since then, both artists have been doing whatever it takes to get their song to #1.
Now it seems like those two aren’t the only songs competing for that #1 spot. According to Billboard, Post Malone’s “Rockstar” featuring 21 Savage has its chance of becoming #1. Since its debut last week, it has been reported that Malone’s track could reach up to 40 million streams and 70,000 sales. The 21 Savage-assisted track is also doing numbers on the radio.
If Post Malone ends up debuting at #1, he will become apart of history. Only 28 artists in music history have debuted their single at #1. Artists like Mariah Carey, Lauryn Hill, Michael Jackson and most recently DJ Khaled have that spot secured.
