When news came across earlier today that Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin would be out indefinitely due to a staph infection in his elbow that would require surgery, the question arose of who would replace Griffin on the team and on the starting lineup.
The question of who will be replacing him has now been answered. Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard will take Blake Griffin’s place and seemingly was picked very easily by NBA commissioner Adam Silver.

Congratulations to Damian Lillard.
After a long debate and controversy from Lillard himself, it seems like due to some unforeseen circumstances that Lillard will join his teammate LaMarcus Aldridge on the Western Conference All-Star team
It still remains to be seen who will replace injured Kobe Bryant and Griffin in the starting lineup for the All-Star game. DeMarcus Cousins was picked to replace Kobe on the team but the starters have not been finalized by Western Conference All-Star coach, Steve Kerr. It is expected to be a mix of Klay Thompson and James Harden at the 2/3 to slide in and join Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis and Marc Gasol on the starting lineup.
