Sony recently posted a survey for it’s ps4 users so they can get some feedback on what users may want from their next gen console. Now with the feedback from the survey Sony is set to release a new “significant update”.
In this 1.70 update Sony is introducing the SHAREfactory.
The SHAREfactory is a new video editor that will allow users to make better videos. Users will be able to combine clips from different sessions, allow filters, transitions, themes and send these clips off to connected Social Media accounts. You’ll also be able to add music to your videos along with being able to commentate(for the you-tubers). Alongside being able to share you’re videos to social media, you’ll be able to upload them to a flash drive and take your self produced video where ever you may travel to. Sony is also allowing users(you-tube commentators) to turn off the HDCP and capture gameplay straight from their HDMI output.
Another feature, which is a pretty huge and nice update, is pre-downloading. Now when 1.70 launches, games you choose to preorder on the PSN will be available for download a few days before release. If you pre-order before the pre-download timeframe, if you turn on your auto-download feature your pre-orders will automatically start downloading when available. With this new feature, as soon as 12:00 AM hits on the release day of a game you’ll be in the campaign or online multiplayer by 12:01 AM.
Sony has yet to release all the new features in the 1.70 update, but when they do well bring it to you. There’s also no word on when this update will go live, but stick with us for the next few features of the update Sony will soon unveil.
