If John Wall ends up being out for a game or even longer, it will be hard to make up for all Wall has done for Washington. There is no formula to substitute for Wall‘s production and leadership, but Paul Pierce thinks he knows how the Wizards can try their best to make up for missing Wall. The method Pierce suggests is not very complicated, but it’s execution could be tough.
Following From Washington Post.
“It’s not going to come from one person,” forward Paul Pierce said. “One guy cannot fill John’s role. It’s going to have to be collectively, whether it’s [Sessions], Garrett Temple, Will Bynum, not only from the point guard but other guys too. Hopefully these guys are motivated and feel they have the opportunity to step up.”
Each player is going to have to do something more to make up for what the Wizards are missing if John Wall misses Game 3. Pierce knows a victory is a team effort, and the loss of Wall makes it that much more important for the Wizards to act as a team.
