The links between Paul George and the Lakers have been about as subtle as L.A. itself. Constant reports about George narrowing down his future team options to the Lakers, Pacers, and a contender have been plastered over every sports website for months.
His recent visit to “Jimmy Kimmel Live” only amplified the noise surrounding the seemingly imminent pair up. Jimmy was persistent about questioning the young forward about the Lakers. He even showed a clip of an interview between him and Magic Johnson from a few weeks ago when they discussed Paul George.
George was clearly uncomfortable about answering these questions with any certainty as he shifted in his chair. His ability to smile and laugh it off was much needed during these barrage of questions. He did let one nugget slip, however. This offseason he will be working out with former Lakers great, Kobe Bryant.
Many current players have noted their workouts and conversations with the Mamba. He inspired a whole generation of ball players and seems gracious in his willingness to take any player under his wing. George is smartly already preparing for the intense workout. Nothing else was revealed but certainly nothing else was denied.
