If I were to say ‘Paul George’ & ‘Olympics’ together, what would you think of? If you had internet, you saw Paul George break his leg in a U.S.A Olympic scrimmage. Paul George and hopefully you, don’t want to see that happen again. Despite that fear that we all have that George may get hurt again, George is aspiring to play in the next Olympics.
According to David Woods of the Indy Star:
“Of course,” he said. “I’ve had a dream of lifting that gold medal. That’s definitely motivation.”
“It almost seems like it happened ages ago,” he said of the broken leg. “I forget sometimes it was only less than a year. It hasn’t really been in the back of my mind anymore. I’m kind of beyond that phase. That’s the good thing.
“I’m not going to work, having flashbacks or thinking about coming down wrong. I’ve just been out on the court playing, just working out.”
Paul George may want to play, but will he make the team? We haven’t really got a good look at the new Paul George. He played maybe a month and he barely got minutes. Next year will be our true indication of if Paul George will ever go back to PG24 form. All I know is Larry Bird will be second guessing himself if George goes to the Olympics again.
