Parisalexa releases a new single “Slimthick” ahead of her upcoming debut album 2 Real, due May 08, 2020.
“Slimthick” is a celebration of self-love and natural curves. The upbeat R&B dance track uplifts her God-given hips and spreads the love to all her “bottom-heavy girls.”
“When I was growing up I didn’t have a lot of women around me who were shaped like me. I had to learn to be confident in what I looked like by myself. Since I found that confidence I’ve made it my mission, not only to hold onto it but to spread it to other girls who may need the boost just like I did. The truth is we only get one body, and every stretch mark is a sign of growth that should be celebrated! Whether you’re slim or thick, you’re a real bad b*tch. Don’t forget that!” says Parisalexa in a provided statement.
“Slimthick” follows “Troubled Waters,” and “Chocolate” leading up to the debut album 2 Real. On the project, Parisalexa showcases her vocal talent and songwriting abilities with songs ranging from love and heartbreak to empowering Black women and self-confidence.
