
Pamela Anderson has announced that she has landed a deal with Netflix that will allow to her tell her life story through a feature-length documentary. Described as a “definitive” documentary about the life and times of a “pop culture icon,” the film will be directed by Ryan White of The Keepers fame and produced by Anderson’s son, Brandon Thomas Lee.
“[The documentary is] an intimate portrait embedded in the life of Pamela Anderson as she looks back at her professional and personal path and prepares for the next steps on her journey,” the film’s synopsis reads, according to Variety.
News of Pamela Anderson’s deal with Netflix comes as Hulu rolls out a limited series called Pam & Tommy. The show explores Anderson’s tumultuous relationship with Tommy Lee and the release of a sex tape featuring the couple. Anderson has reportedly expressed her frustration with the project and hopes to correct “misconceptions” displayed throughout the series.
“My life: A thousand imperfections, a million misperceptions,” she stated.
“Wicked, wild and lost. Nothing to live up to — I can only surprise you. Not a victim, but a survivor. And alive to tell the real story.”
At this time, there is no release date for the film.
