Otto Porter may not have earned the starting gig yet in Washington, but he has sure made his presence known throughout the playoffs. In the Game 2 loss in Atlanta, Porter led the bench in every category except for blocks. Porter is having that much of an impact, and is coming off the bench to make up for slack left by starters and other role players.
In 30 minutes of play, Porter scored 15 points on 6/12 shooting, grabbed 8 rebounds, dished out 5 assists, and came away with 3 steals. A performance like this should have been enough to lead the Wizards to a win, but the rest of the bench was unable to produce and help the team out. As long as Otto continues to complete his role of being a leader off of the bench, the rest of the bench will begin to step up and perform as needed to help the Wizards advance further in the playoffs.
