Can we please get this version of Drake back? Don’t get me wrong, I am a fan of his recent music, but this nasally-Weezy-influenced sound Drizzy produced since he’s gotten on, has made me cringe a bit, a lot, I kinda f*cking hate it.
Drake’s original cadence and sound is what made him favorable to many, but of course, to appeal to everyone, Drake had to bend over backwards and…well. Was that part of the plan? Who the hell knows. But it’s a plan that has worked for the Canadian. Additionally, I can’t blame him for the move if he felt it was beneficial — which it has clearly been.

For “old ass” traditionalist with a ear for new talent, Drake had it already. Changing his style of flow wouldn’t have hindered his progress into stardom whatsoever.
Comeback Season birthed So Far Gone, but other rapper’s influence seemed to make an bigger impact and Drake eventually succumbed to it. Furthermore, making it one of the greatest mixtapes ever.

Lastly, for all you “nerds,” I was well aware of Room For Improvement prior to Comeback Season, but why flex musical prowess when I just stated that Drake should’ve stuck to his maple syrup instead of joining Aunt Jemima.
