Recently, Quentin Tarantino has been ramping up the marketing for his upcoming 9th film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. After releasing the first posters for the film earlier this week, the first trailer finally dropped on Wednesday.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie. Al Pacino, Luke Perry, Tim Roth, Timothy Olyphant, and Dakota Fanning are also set to appear. Burt Reynolds was also attached to the project before his untimely passing last year, Bruce Dern stepped up to take Reynolds place.
The trailer opens with a quick introduction to the main characters: the wilting star Rick Dalton (DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Pitt). The two men are interviewed about the role of a stuntman as the trailer kicks into gear. We don’t get much beyond that as the rest of the trailer is mostly a montage highlighting the film’s stars. One of the trailer’s most memorable moments, though, comes in the form of Mike Moh’s near-perfect portrayal of the late Bruce Lee, just before he and Booth get into a fight.
