On Friday, December 1, the Ohio Republican Party endorsed former President Donald Trump in his attempt to return to the White House.
“President Trump has proven time and again that despite the unhinged and relentless attacks from the radical left, he will never give up on fighting for Ohio’s workers, business and families,” Ohio Republican Party Chairman Alex M. Triantafilou said.
“His unapologetic leadership and commitment to putting America First is exactly what we need to reverse course from the failed policies of Joe Biden and Sherrod Brown.”
Ohio has proved to be a source of support for the former reality show host throughout his political career. Trump won the Buckeye State while running against Hilary Clinton in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020. According to a recent poll from Emerson College, the New York native currently holds a 14 point advantage in a general election against President Biden.
“Whether it is brokering peace deals, renegotiating bad trade policies, or making America energy independent, President Trump knows how to get things done. The sooner Republicans can coalesce around the clear choice at the top of the ticket, the sooner we can focus on the challenge of taking back the White House, flipping the U.S. Senate, and getting our country back on track,” Triantafilou added.
“While we appreciate all of the Republican candidates who are passionately making their case to the American people, it is clear that President Trump is the right choice in this moment.”
