More from Wojnarowski.
The Denver Nuggets have agreed to send JaVale McGee, along with a first-round pick, to the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday, a league source told Yahoo Sports.
The Sixers will receive a 2015 protected first-round pick that Denver owned via Oklahoma City.
In Denver’s two deals today, it has created $18 million in player-trade exceptions.
Denver is unloading the balance of $11,250,000 for this season and $12 million for 2015-16 on McGee’s contract.
The deal talked about earlier is the one done by the Nuggets which sent Arron Afflalo to the Portland Trail Blazers for some young pieces and picks.
McGee is in his seventh NBA season and he was averaging 5.2 points and 2.8 rebounds in 11 minutes per game for Denver. McGee may be a victim of a buyout by the 76ers before it’s all said and done.
