The Denver Nuggets interviewed former Sacramento Kings’ coach Mike Malone for their head coaching vacancy on Thursday according to multiple media reports.
Malone is on a list of candidates that features current Nuggets interim coach Melvin Hunt and former Knicks, Lakers, and Suns coach Mike D’ Antoni.
The Nuggets are now the only team in the league who still is without a head coach, with the Bulls hiring Fred Hoiberg earlier this week, the Pelicans hiring Alvin Gentry, and the Magic hiring Scott Skiles.
Malone was fired from Sacramento in December after 67 games with the team. Malone was 39-67 with the Kings, but was 11-13 before getting fired.
His name was rumored for the Magic job, before Orlando decided to hire Skiles.
