Big man Noah Vonleh, drafted ninth overall by the Charlotte Hornets in 2014, has reached an agreement to sign with the New York Knicks, reports ESPN’s Ian Begley:

Vonleh, 22, has spent time with the Hornets, Portland Trail Blazers and, most recently, the Chicago Bulls. For his career, Vonleh has averaged 4.1 points and 4.7 rebounds in 15.5 minutes per game while shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 29.7 percent from 3-point range.
Vonleh has yet to have a true chance to show what he can do with increased minutes. A strong rebounder who can stretch the floor to a small degree, Vonleh should have a place in the NBA, but it’s hard to tell how large his role should be.
When he has gotten minutes, Vonleh has been solid; last season, he played 20 or more minutes in exactly 19 games (11 for the Blazers and eight for the Bulls). In those 19 games, Vonleh averaged eight points and 9.4 rebounds per game.
Perhaps, with Kristaps Porzingis still likely to miss a significant amount of time – perhaps the entirety of the season – Vonleh could see a large role for the Knicks.
