Netflix has hired N’Jeri Eaton to lead its podcast projects. In this position, Eaton will work alongside the newly-hired editorial and publishing head Michelle Lee and report to Netflix Chief Marketing Officer Bozoma Saint John.
The streaming giant has worked to expand its podcasting efforts in recent years. Recently, Netflix has developed podcasts to pair with their original pieces like The Crown and Stranger Things. Netflix Is A Daily Joke and Strong Black Legends have also thrived in recent months.
Eaton has previous worked as the podcast head at Apple and the senior program acquisitions manager at NPR. She’s also spent time at TIME Inc., Frontline and the Academy of Art.
Moving forward, Eaton will look to bring the magic she created at NPR and Apple to Netflix as they venture into new territory.
I'm thrilled to join @netflix as the Head of Podcasts. 16 years ago, I watched three DVDs from Netflix a day while working the late night lab shift at a university. My obsession for storytelling has taken me all kinds of places but this is truly a dream!https://t.co/sn8EbS7zr0
