At times, it’s best to go back to the places and see the faces that make you feel at home. One year ago, Nippa introduced himself to the world by shooting the “Situation” video right outside of Smith’s Hair Studio in London. This time around, he’s returned to the block and posted right outside of Empire Peri Peri for the “Where They At?” video. Most importantly, the unique melodic talent that Nippa displayed throughout “Situation” has only grown stronger with his latest release.
“N*ggas high on that propane to throw shade/We runnin’ errands and runnin’ trains on your home babes/See wh?n we pull up, these n*ggas b? havin’ no face/And these b*tches love me, I’m Pootie and they have no shame,” Nippa sings.
“If I hit it than coulda, woulda wifed that, yeah/She told me I could run a train/Your boyfriend won’t know nothin’, babe/Would set him for the summer, babe?/Comin’ for you.”
“Where They At?” is just the start of what’s to come. Nippa revealed in December that he’s already finished up his second EP.
“The reception [of the EP] is definitely better than what I was expecting. I’m seeing my name on Twitter a lot. I’m seeing people fucking with the ‘Intro; and with ‘Back To You.’ In fact, I’ve kinda just finished my second EP,” he told Cee Valentina back in December.
