
The Milwaukee Bucks injury report is not looking any better for the Eastern Conference front-runners. As first reported by The Athletic’s Shams Charania, forward Nikola Mirotic is expected to miss 2-4 weeks with a fracture to his left thumb.
Bucks forward Nikola Mirotic has suffered a slight fracture of his left thumb and will miss at least two-to-four weeks, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

The Bucks have now released an official statement regarding Mirotic’s injury, but have not confirmed the timeframe for the sharpshooting forward’s return. Mirotic has also posted to Twitter addressing his injury.
Milwaukee Bucks forward Nikola Mirotic had an X-ray and subsequent examination of his left thumb today by team physician Dr. William Raasch at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin. The exam revealed a sprained thumb and fracture.
Mirotic will be listed as out and his status will be updated as appropriate.

The news of Mirotic’s injury is the latest injury worry for the Bucks heading into the postseason, with third-year guard Malcolm Brogdon suffering a plantar fascia tear which is anticipated to keep him out of action for 6-8 weeks.
Nikola Mirotic joined the Bucks from the New Orleans Pelicans in a deal around the trade deadline, and has averaged 11.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game in the 14 games he’s featured in since his trade, aiding the Bucks in achieving their Eastern Conference-best 53-18 record this season.
