Denver Nuggets’ star big man, Nikola Jokic will take home the NBA’s MVP trophy. The Serbian center passes better than many guards and embodies the new era of big man players better than just about anyone else in the league. The Nuggets selected him with the 41t overall pick in the 2nd round of the 2014 NBA Draft, making Jokic the lowest drafted player to take home the NBA’s most coveted individual award.
Over the course of this season, the Joker has averaged 26.4 PPG, 10.8 RPG, and 8.3 APG. Over 8 assists per game for a 6-11, 284lb center is almost unheard of. In his five years in the league, Jokic has earned 3 All-Star selections, 2 All-NBA selections, and was named to the 2015-16 All-Rookie league. At just 26 years old, there is no reason to believe he will drop off any time soon.

Currently, the Nuggets are in the second round of the 2021 NBA Playoffs. They find themselves down 0-1 to the Phoenix Suns after dropping game one, 122-105. Without Jamal Murray, it will take an MVP-level performance the entire series to take down the Suns.
