There are a few things Nikki Glaser will not discussing while hosting the 82nd Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 5, 2025.
During a recent conversation with Yahoo! Entertainment, Glaser spoke about her upcoming role as the host of the 82nd Golden Globe Awards.
“I am doing what I was hired to do, which is, I got this because of the Tom Brady roast. That is not lost on me,” Glaser said.
“So I’m going to bring that to this for sure. It’s not gonna be watered down, [but] the tone will be different for this.”
However, Glaser says there are particular topics she won’t discuss during her time on stage, including the public dispute between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively.
“I think the Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni thing is such a hot-button thing right now that even a mere mention of it will seem like I could be on the wrong side of things, even though I would never be,” Glaser explained.
“I also don’t want to give his name any — I’m mad I even know his name, to be honest with you, so I don’t need to say it anymore.”
In December, Lively filed a 10-part complaint with the California Civil Rights Department, accusing of her It Ends With Us co-star Baldoni of creating a hostile work environment, sexually harassing her and developing “a coordinated effort to destroy her reputation.”
“I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted,” Lively told Deadline.
Baldoni has refuted the allegations levied against him and has filed a lawsuit against the New York Times regarding a story about the alleged “coordinated effort to destroy” “Lively’s reputation. Moving forward, Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, says additional lawsuits will be field. Furthermore, Freedman says all text messages and emails exchanged between his client and Lively will be released.
