Nick Young Tells Magic Johnson To “Stay At Dodger Stadium For A While”
If the Los Angeles Lakers don’t experience a drastic and near miraculous shift in the tide, the tanking conversation will only grow as we go further into the season. The Lakers finished around the bottom of the league last season, putting them in the lottery where they earned the no. 7 overall pick and selected Julius Randle.
5-time champion and Laker moniker Magic Johnson commented that he hopes the team loses every game in hopes of earning a high prospect lottery pick in next year’s NBA Draft. Lakers guard Nick Young had his response to the Laker legend, via Mark Medina of the LA Daily News:
Nick Young: “Tell Magic to stay at Dodger Stadium for a while. He don’t need to bring that smile around here. I’ll do all the smiling.”

Unfortunately for Nick Young, Magic Johnson has enough money and championships to go wherever he pleases, and he’ll be able to say however he feels about the Lakers without punishment for all of his days. Magic’s remarks about the Lakers are always coming from his inner-Laker that still lives and wants to see the organization succeed.
As for Young, the self-proclaimed “Swaggy P”, that smile won’t win the Lakers any extra games this season.
