Nick Young Agrees to Re-Sign With Lakers
Los Angeles Lakers guard and free agent Nick Young has agreed to a four-year, $21 million deal to re-sign with the Lakers, reports Ken Berger of CBS Sports. Young averaged a career-high 17.9 points per game for the Lakers last season on 43.5 percent shooting from the field and 38.6 percent from the three-point line.
Young signed a minimum contract with the Lakers last summer, so this is clearly a much-deserved and expected raise for the shooting guard. Kobe Bryant is expected to return to the Laker line-up this season, but Young is a valued asset after the season he just had.
The Lakers just agreed to acquire Jeremy Lin in a trade with the Houston Rockets, as they continue to salvage what they can of a presentable team in the 2014-2015 season.
