2k sports promised some ps4 and Xbox one NBA 2k15 news before the week was out and we got it. In an interview with Operation Sports, visual concepts senior producers Rob Jones & Erik Boenisch discuss the new upcoming fully customizable MyLeague mode. MyLeague will be exactly what you want it to be and it does not involve the use of VC in the process. If you want a shortened season, you can have one in MyLeague. If you want to add a historic or euro team to the league to see how they match up against today’s superstars, you can also do that. You’ll be able to do everything you can think of from playoff format, cpu trade logic, controlling 1-30 user teams and more. You’ll even be able to set the hard and salary caps for teams.

Rob & Erik also reveal ‘Injuries 2.0’. With ‘Injuries 2.0’, there will not be anymore random body part injuries for a player. Now instead of random injuries, each body part will have it’s own durability. So if any player has or had repeated injuries on his right leg, before any other part of his body gets hurt, that right leg will be an issue. Wear & tear has been added into the mix, so if you’re playing with an high flyer over multiple seasons in 2k15, be on the lookout for said players body to breakdown. Also, career ending injuries, yes, 2k has added those in this game, they’re rare injuries, but they can happen.
Another good feature to appear in MyLeague that will be new to NBA 2k will be ‘Gameplan’. With the new ‘Gameplan’ feature, for each team you face, you’ll be able to set rosters and strategies for each opponent. You’ll be able to set defensive match ups, adjust your coaching sliders specifically to go against one team, adjust point of emphasis and more, PRIOR to playing a game.
It looks like 2k has something special up their sleeves for consumers with this new ‘MyLeague’ mode. If you missed the first look for Ps4 NBA 2k15, you can do so, here. Also, if you now want to pre-order NBA 2k15, you can do so, here. NBA 2k15 launches October 7th on all consoles.
