At this moment, we’re less than a week away from the release of John Legend’s forthcoming studio album, Darkness and Light. Working his way to being one the most notable voices in R&B and Pop music, John Legend is pushing forward and is looking to release what he deems to be his best work yet. Most recently, the singer gave us all another teaser of what to expect with his ‘Penthouse Floor‘ collaboration with Chance The Rapper, and now we have another new record to get into before his album release.
Titled, ‘I Know Better,’ John Legend brings the soul straight out the gate on the piano-driven track. Taking a more personal and reflective turn, John sings of not getting caught up in fame and even touches on the power he has as a Black man. Having the potential to be ranked as his most honest and open offering to-date, ‘I Know Better’ is a job well done.
