
The tower R. Kelly once resided above the law continues to come crumbling down. The singer faces new allegations of sexual abuse involving a 13-year-old girl.
Currently in custody on charges related to unpaid child support, R. Kelly new accusers are sharing their traumatic experience. Stemming from incidents occurring in 2001, an unnamed woman alleges R. Kelly sexually assaulted her at the age of 13, infecting her with herpes.
Tasked with the investigation, Detroit police department aim to follow through these claims as the woman says the incident occurred at a hotel in their city limits. The first encounter allegedly marked the beginning of trips to and from R. Kelly’s home resulting in the young woman contracting herpes at the age of 19.
The Guardian reports “We are eagerly waiting to speak to the alleged victim,” Detroit police chief James Craig told CBS News.
While R. Kelly’s fate lingers, new allegations do him no good. Recently the singer sat down with Gayle King in an explosive interview where he denied all claims. R. Kelly’s alleged victims Azriel Clary and Joycelyn Savage also come to his defense.
