What’s New To Netflix This September

With Netflix losing it’s Disney licensing, they will be losing a lot of content and movies. In order to counter-act this major overhaul, Netflix will be introducing an array of classic films that it owns, including Pulp Fiction, City of God, and the entire Jaws series.

The Netflix Originals

Narcos (Season 3) 

After the climactic finale in Season 2 and the end of the Pablo Escobar saga, fans were curious as to what they could expect from the 3rd season of Narcos. Regardless, with the latest trailer that Netflix dropped, all doubts about what the story would be about have been completely erased. Following the destruction of the Medellin Cartel, we begin to examine the expanding Cali Cartel that begun its prominence after Escobar’s death in 1993. You can check out the 3rd season on Netflix, September 1st.

Bojack Horseman (Season 4) 

Your favorite Horse-faced actor, Bojack Horseman, will be back again for the 4th season of self-loathing, drunken comedy that everybody with a hangover could enjoy. When I first came across Bojack Horseman, the show reminded me of the Showtime show Californication, but instead of David Duchovny (Hank Moody from Californication) making his witty remarks about Hollywood life, it’s Will Arnett’s Bojack Horseman voice. So if you’re fans of either show, you should be excited about its 4th season, coming to Netflix September 9th.

Netflix Original Movie Of The Month

First They Killed My Father

For the first time in a while, the Netflix Original Movie for the month of September was a tough decision to make. Along with First They Killed My Father, Netflix is releasing an adaptation of the Stephen King book Gerald’s Game and there is a comedy starring Adam Scott as a step father with the spawn of satan as his son. That being said, with this platform I’d like to shed some light on something more positive Netflix will be releasing. First They Killed My Father, is the recount of Cambodian human rights activist Loung Ung and her heartbreaking story during the time when Khmer Rouge assumed power over Cambodia in 1975. It is filmed and directed by Angelina Jolie and will be out on Netflix, September 15th.
