After only scoring 2 points in the first two games of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, Nene showed everybody he can still score at will and perform at the level needed to pull out wins against Atlanta. Nene scored 17 points on 7/9 shooting while adding in 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal in 29 minutes of play. He brought it tonight, but will have to continue to bring all he can bring if the Wizards want to continue to get wins against a team who led the Eastern Conference in wins.
It was time for Nene to quiet everybody who was doubting him and prove he is still a beast inside the paint. He dominated early, and continued to perform at a high level throughout the rest of the game. With the ball in his hands more than in previous games, Nene stepped up to the plate and led the Wizards to a 2-1 series lead.
