Since the mega success of Fox’s newest smash television series, ‘Empire’, everyone from normal fans to the hugest celebrities have all expressed their thoughts on the show. More importantly, most of the talk behind ‘Empire’ has been more positive than negative and surely everyone want’s a piece of the pie that Lee Daniels has created. Well, it looks like it’s Ne-Yo’s lucky day as the ‘Sexy Love’ singer will now be joining the show, but in the background.
In other Empire news, Ne-Yo, who has spoken of his love for the show and desire to appear on it, has closed a deal to write music for Season 2, joining the series’ music producer Timbaland. There are no current plans for Ne-Yo to act on the series.
This comes as great news for both Ne-Yo, the singers on the show, and the brand as Ne-Yo has help write huge hits for the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna, Jennifer Hudson, and countless others. As crafty as Ne-Yo is with his writing ability, it’s without a doubt that ‘Empire’ will have a new versatile set of records from the Grammy winner, along with the original touches of Timbaland. Perhaps, this new venture could lead into the singer giving his contributions in front of and behind the camera. Nevertheless, we all will be turning back in once Season 2 is back in full swing.
