Last August, at NBC’s Television Critics Association press conference, it was announced that DC Comics had a “The Office” like comedy show in the works for NBC. Now the show has officially been ordered by NBC. The comedy titled, “Powerless”, will focus on the regular 9 to 5 working folk in the DC Universe at an insurance company on their own quest to find their “power”. There’s currently no word on if any superheroes or villains will appear on the show, but you can definitely expect lots of name dropping over the course of the series. The “Powerless” pilot will be written by Ben Queen and directed by Michael Patrick Jann. THR describes the pilot as a “formality” expecting the show to go straight to series.
