We’re also beginning to see the NBA take steps back towards normalcy and though the resumption of games appears to still remain a ways away, certain teams could reportedly begin their practice routines soon.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the NBA is allowing teams to reopen practice facilities beginning on May 1. However, the report specifies that only teams who are located in states and cities with eased regulations will be able to open their practice facilities.

Of the states that are currently either in lockdown or under stay-at-home orders, Alaska, Georgia, Oklahoma and South Carolina are set to reopen shortly. These states will still have certain restrictions but, for the most part, will allow citizens to utilize public areas again in groups.
This means practice could start by the end of this coming week for NBA teams such as the Atlanta Hawks and Oklahoma City Thunder. There are also a number of other states who’s lockdowns are expiring by the end of April but have yet to announce whether they will reopen then or extend their orders further.
