
The NBA has formally announced the teams participating in the 2016 Las Vegas Summer League. The event will go from July 8-18 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion in Vegas.
The list of teams participating at the event are: Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, Golden State Warriors, Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, Chicago Bulls, Denver Nuggets, Washington Wizards, Memphis Grizzlies, Toronto Raptors, Miami Heat, Utah Jazz, Brooklyn Nets, Portland Trail Blazers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, and the D-League Select Team.
Of these 24 teams, 11 were in the 2015-16 playoffs and three are currently playing in the conference finals.
Every team picking in the lottery except the Orlando Magic will be at the Las Vegas Summer League making for a showcase of the best players from this draft class.
Each team will play three games before being seeded in a tournament starting on the 18th. Every team is guaranteed to play at least five games at the event.
The NBA has not yet released information on game times but that should be released soon as tickets go on sale on May 21 at 10 AM PST.
The annual event is a great time to look at some of the future stars of the league while they are still trying to make it and leave their mark.
