Last year, we saw the NBA and Nike team up to create NBA city edition jerseys for each team. The meaning behind this is to create jerseys that give a nod to each city that hosts an NBA team. Teams took this in different in all different directions whether it was to honor celebrities from that city, heritage, or even team history.
Once Nike took over the rights for making the NBA merchandise, we expected some crazy and innovative styles but they went ahead and took the cake the past two seasons with these new threads for each NBA team two years in a row.
While some of these NBA city edition jerseys were hits last year, others were blunders. Some teams decided to go off their designs or schemes from last year while others went ahead and crafted up some new designs all together.
