French Montana is staying very active this year. Since the release of his Max B hosted mixtape Wave Gods back in February, French hasn’t stopped pumping out visuals from the project. The first two off of the project were “Off The Rip” with A$AP Rocky and “Jackson 5” featuring Belly. Just a few days ago, French released a montage styled visual for “Old Man Wildin” and today we have the visual for the “Wave Gods Intro” all the way from Dubai.
French spoke with The FADER about the significance of the song. Througout it French gets a little personal, something he doesn’t do often on his records. “It has a special vibe to it,” French told The FADER. “It’s deep. I think it means a lot to all the fans who understand the wave and that’s why it’s special.” As far as to why he chose to shoot the visual in Dubai, ” As soon as we started shooting we heard the call to prayer and it felt good because everything I’m talking about in the song is personal and emotional to me and it meant a lot to be able have that moment”.
