Cementing her legacy in the realm of Hip-Hop with her illustrious career, Missy Elliott has nothing left to prove to fans of Hip-Hop. But with her strong love for music and the culture, Missy Elliott is set to make her return much sooner than later. Just a few weeks ago, we shared that Missy Elliott was spotted shooting the visual for her upcoming new single, ‘WTF (Where They From),’ which features Pharrell. Now, things are looking to be ready to go as the rapper/singer is set to kick off the NBA season, in collaboration with NBA, with a preview of her upcoming single from her seventh studio album.
A sneak peak of Elliott’s new single – “WTF (Where They From)” feat. Pharrell Williams (@Pharrell) – will air this Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. ET during NBA Countdown, ESPN’s NBA pre-game show. The snippet will also be showcased throughout ESPN’s opening-night NBA doubleheader on Wednesday, which is also available on WatchESPN.
Additionally, “WTF (Where They From)” feat. Pharrell Williams will be integrated with ESPN’s NBA game and studio coverage throughout the early part of the season.
This comes as a great look for the rapper as this will serve as great momentum to kick off her new musical era. With her next LP tentatively titled, Block Party, new music from the ‘Work It’ rapper is a welcomed addition to a year that’s been great for Hip-Hop. Only a few days separate us from hearing what ‘WTF’ will bring. Without a doubt, we’re excited.
