From earning an honorary Doctorate degree, being selected as the recipient of the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the upcoming 2019 VMAs and more, it gets even better for Missy and loyal legion of fans. Taking to social media, Missy Elliott has announced her new ICONOLOGY studio album.

Much of a surprise, the announcement leaves little time to prepare with ICONOLOGY dropping tonight! Her seventh studio album, and being 14 years since her previous studio effort, this body of work is surely long overdo. Still creative as ever, ICONOLOGY will surely add to the star’s impressive legacy, both musically and visually.
Wonderful times for fans of the rapper and songwriter, there’s no doubting that Missy has some heat she’ll be delivering on the new album.
