The Phoenix Suns may have lost the LaMarcus Aldridge Sweepstakes, but they’ve definitely improved their roster from last season. They re-signed Brandon Knight and kept Eric Bledsoe and Markieff Morris, while adding Tyson Chandler. Knight-Bledsoe-P.J. Tucker-Morris-Chandler is a very solid starting lineup. Now the Suns are working on bolstering their bench.
Just after the Nets removed the qualifying offer for Mirza Teletovic, he agrees to terms with Phoenix for one year, $5.5M, per sources.

Teletovic has been a good shooter throughout his 3-year career in Brooklyn. He’s shot 36.2% from long range on his career, although he shot a career-low 32.1% from the arc last season. However, last season wasn’t an easy one for Teletovic. He got off to a slow start shooting, and then struggled with blood clots in his lungs.
Teletovic, at 6’9″ is a capable stretch-4. Last season he averaged 8.5 points and 4.9 rebounds in 22.3 minutes per game(albeit on very inefficient shooting). Despite what his numbers from last year show, the Bosnian big man is a superb shooter from outside. He shot 39% from long distance in 2013-14.
Teletovic should be a valuable backup at the power forward position for Markieff Morris, who has come into his own over the past couple seasons.
