In case you haven’t heard, Lebron James the Cleveland Cavaliers’ front office recently fired head coach David Blatt. Blatt, widely regarded as a good coach, will presumably be highly sought after now that he is on the market.
The Minnesota Timberwolves were one team that came up in Blatt rumors, since their head coach Flip Saunders tragically passed away earlier this season. Since his passing, interim coach Sam Mitchell has been coaching the team.
However, those reports linking Blatt to Minnesota were false, according to Cleveland.com’s Chris Haynes.
Minnesota has no intention of reaching out to David Blatt to join staff, league sources informed @clevelanddotcom. He deserves another shot.

Who knows what Blatt will end up doing next? He definitely has a job in this league if he wants it. Plenty of teams would probably consider him an upgrade over their current head coaches. Does he want an NBA job though? Maybe after all this drama he’s decided that he doesn’t want to coach in the NBA. Maybe he’ll go back to coaching in Europe. Or maybe he’ll join another NBA team and try to take revenge on LeBron and co.
